T-mobile UK HTC Desire getting Android 2.2 ( Froyo ) update. Release date mentioned

The HTC Desire carriers are working hard to suit the handset with the new Android 2.2 ( Froyo ) update, or at least some of them are. While the Desire was given the OS2 very quickly on phones that were not bound to a locked operator, and Vodafone promised the update for the end of the month, T-mobile HTC Desire UK users will have to wait a little longer. Exactly how long is still unknown because “next month” isn’t really a concrete point of reference, but it’s still better than wondering when, I guess. Anyway, the article will to a better job at explaining what I’m saying:

The old saying goes “It never hurts to ask”. And so they did, and not only did it not hurt but they even got a response. “They” of course are the UK T-Mobile HTC Desire customers and the question was when are they going to receive the much anticipated Froyo update. The response can be seen as given in the photo below. With Vodafone breathing down their neck with such a quick release for the HTC Desire Android 2.2 OS, no wonder that the guys at T-Mobile sought to reassure worried minds.

The HTC Desire (US Cellular) has been available since the 27th, and on that carrier the HTC Desire price is a reasonable $200. Leaving that in mind, we might suggest reminding yourselves of the Desire’s specs to make it easier for you to decide if it’s worth it or not.
