Google had recently made an update regarding the Android user base, providing important news for the Android Company. According to the schedule presented, it appears that the new Android 2.2 Froyo is not yet on people taste. This can’t be good news for those of Android Central, considering the hard work they have done lately and if we take in consider all the publicity that they made, we realize that everything was in vain, not to mention all the expenditure submitted. This, is true, it will have recognition on the future, until Android 3.0 at least.
On the other hand, we can think that being new on the market, the Android 2.2 Froyo is not yet known as it should be and few had made an update to the older version of Android Os. And it is true that most people can’t choose what version of OS to use on their phones, due to incompatibility.
Anyway, the facts remain and as you can see below, on the graphic, the Android 2.1 is way in the lead, occupying the ROM space of 55.5% of all Android phones. The 2.2 update is in the last position with only 3.3% of handsets (that all be the Nexus One owners). The other version of Android Os 1.6 and 1.5 shares approximately the same percentage.

Android 2.1 still in the lead.Froyo only a promise.
