The Verizon LG Spectrum specs leaked

LG and Verizon are preparing something sweet for its customers, as the first details about the previously rumored Revolution 2 handset were leaked. In fact, the phone will be named LG Spectrum, and it will be featuring Verizon’s 4G LTE network. If the name doesn’t mean anything to you, than you must know that it’s the same device with AT&T’s very own 4G LTE capable, LG Nitro HD. Anyway, we managed to find the first info about a possible LG Spectrum release date through Verizon, along with some of its specs; take a look below and see if you like it.

The image that you can see is the only one that has been leaked so far; from what we can observe, the Spectrum is looking like a regular smartphone, though it leaves a sour plastic made taste. It’s not impressive, but it has Verizon’s logo on top, so it’s worth the attention. As you might know, the phone is assuming the identity of the well-known model number VS920, which was presented to the audience a few months ago.

Even though the LG Spectrum specs are promising, I can’t say that I’m impressed at all. The handset will be coming with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor (though from what we heard it’s not that fast), an 8MP rear facing camera which is capable of 720p HD video recording, the already mentioned 4G LTE support and the Android platform with (maybe) Ice Cream Sandwich on top. That’s all we could find about its hardware capabilities, but we are expecting more after the Consumer Electronics Show from next month.

As for the Verizon LG Spectrum release date, the rumors are stating that it will be in January or February, next year. Also, the pricing is missing, but in the following weeks we will know more. There you have it, so what do you think, is the Spectrum a good alternative for other devices like the RAZR, Rezound, Galaxy Nexus, or perhaps the Droid 4, or it can’t even compare with such gadgets?
