According to the latest rumors, it seems that ZTE is planning to release a new 10.1? Quad Core Android based tablet in the coming months. Even though there aren’t any clues about the exact date, we managed to find out some of its future specs and features, which are quite interesting. As far as we know, the tablet should be named ZTE US and should be first introduced in Asia (as expected) by the end of the year. Further aspects are detailed below, so check it out.
As known, ZTE is a big manufacturer in Asia, while worldwide is not so popular; it used the customers with devices, most of them smartphones, that are (in most of the cases) a cheaper “replica” of handsets coming from companies more successful, like Samsung, Apple or Blackberry. This was perfect for those interested in getting a powerful and appealing handset, but didn’t have enough money, ZTE being the perfect replacement for them.

The ZTE US tablet
Anyway, as you can see, the ZTE US is keeping the “line”, its design being similar with the one used on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet. Leaving this aside, the leaked specs are showing us a powerful gadget; some of its strengths will be the 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen with WVGA (1280x800p) resolution, the 1GHZ QUAD-Core processor and the 5 MP rear facing camera. The ZTE US will have 32GB of internal storage memory and a 3250mAh battery.
Apparently, it will feature the Android Honeycomb 3.2 operating system. I know that most of you are expecting the Ice Cream to be released, but until then the Honeycomb should do just fine.
There are no words about the ZTE US future price, or exact launch date, but we are expecting further details in the coming days or weeks, so stay tuned. Also, the rumors are saying that there will be two tablets coming from ZTE this year, so info about this should be announced too.
