AT&T has finally made the move and announced the BlackBerry Torch 9810 release date, via FaceBook. The first 4G capable RIM smartphone will hit the carrier on August 21, a day when other numerous BlackBerry handsets will be launched. There were no details regarding the price of the phone but interested customers can sign up on the official website for any updates. AT&T is the first US carrier to offer the BlackBerry 9810, just two days later that its initial launch in Canada, at Telus. Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile are soon to follow, but an official launch has yet to be announced or speculated.
As you know, the Torch 9810 comes as a sequel to the featured BlackBerry Torch, so we could name it the Torch 2 as well. The handset spots a 1.2GHz processor with hardware acceleration, a 3.2 inch touchscreen display and it’s powered by BB OS 7. It has a sliding QWERTY keyboard, a slim design and on the back, the 8MPX camera capable of 720p videos can capture the moments you love.
