Are you looking forward to improve your computer with the latest graphic-card out there? Well, if so, I have great news for you, because ASUS is preparing something interesting and powerful for the gadget market. The company will release two high-end chipsets, the MARS 2 and Matrix GTX 580, somewhere in the near future. You have below its future specs list, but more details, such as the release date, availability and pricing offers, are expected after the Computex event from next week.
This is coming a little bit as a surprise, considering that most of us were thinking that ASUS is focused mostly on launching its tablets, EeePad and Eee Slate, but it seems that the company has big plans for its customers. Anyway, it is good to see that ATI is having another competitor, beside NVidia, in the graphic cards industry. Unfortunately, we don’t have yet details about ASUS’s Matrix GTX 580 and MARS 2 release date, but it will be here in the coming months, or if we are lucky in the coming weeks.

ASUS’s Matrix GTX 580 and MARS 2
As you can see in the image above, you will need a pretty impressive PC case in order to squeeze these “giants” inside. But, for a moment let us see what these devices can really do. First of all, both of them are based around NVidia’s dual-chip GF110 GPU, so it should be something that worth the attention. The Matrix GTX 580 specs will include a dual-fan DirectCU II-based cooler, 512 CUDA Cores, a 384-bit memory interface, 1.5GB of GDDR5 VRAM set to 4008 MHz, and dual-DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs. Beside these it will feature a 19-phase power design for uber-overclocking, Super Alloy components and a Safe Mode button enabling the “worry-free overclocking” capability. Also, the video card will be available in two flavors: standard and Platinum.
On the other side, the ASUS Mars 2 will come with 19-phase power and Super Alloy components, along with two GF110 chips and 3GB of RAM. More specs details can be seen in the image above. As I was saying in the introduction we don’t have any other aspects (price and the official release date) about these upcoming ASUS graphic cards, but it should be revealed after the Computex event from next week.
