Rumors of a version of the Google Nexus S 850 / 1900MHz-friendly 3G bands that AT&T uses have circulated for a while. If we take a look at the GT-I9020A ( the codename for Nexus S ) on the Samsung support official page, we can say that the release date is getting closer. Because of frequency differences, the Nexus S was available only on T-Mobile and Sprint by now. Now, an unlocked Nexus S with support from AT&T’s 3G network is being sold by an electronics retailer.
Some AT&T markings on the page to boot from the Samsung support page suggests that the white version will be indeed coming with AT&T 3G network coverage. Price and contractual obligations are still not know, we will probably hear more as the release date approaches.

The American retailer Negri Electronics is selling the usual black version but also the version of the White Google Nexus S. This white version is like an “in your face” towards the guys at Apple, who promised a white iPhone 4 a few moths back. That’s because Apple will probably launch the iPhone 5 in 2 colors, black and white, just like the iPad2.
The white version of this second generation Google smartphone has the same features as it’s black twin: a 1GHz processor, 16GB of storage and is powered by Gingerbread ( version 2.3.3 ) , the latest OS for smartphones from Android.
The guys at Engadget got their hands on a white Nexus S and even posted a video of it. You can check it on their site. Taking a look at the pictures I can only say that it does look a little strange, but that’s probably because I’m not used with this color on a smartphone. It has exactly the same design as the original Nexus S and many people seem to be disappointed because nothing has changed. But really it’s a only a different color of a certain model, not a different one.
The price of the Google Nexus S, not being subsidized by AT&T will be around $600 and under a contract it will probably have the price of $199 ( two year – contract ).
