Not long ago, we have presented you some rumors regarding an Android based Tablet, provided by those of Viewsonic. But, now it is time to let apart all those rumors because, a few days ago, the tablet was officially announced. So, the Viewsonic ViewPad 7 Android tablet, which also doubles as a smartphone, is ready to hit the market and according to ours sources the release date will be in October.
As the name says, the tablet will come sporting a 7 inch display and with many others spicy specs like: a 3 megapixel camera on the back, VGA quality camera on the front, g-sensor, microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
Besides all that, the Viewsonic ViewPad 7 will be running the Android 2.2 Froyo OS and it will have access to the Google Android app store, with the power to use up to 100,000 applications and services. Being also a smartphone, the device will be offering 3G functionality and all you need for a perfect conversation, or for a video chatting.

The Viewsonic ViewPad 7 Android smartphone tablet price will be £350 ($539) and as I was saying above, the device will be available in early October. According to the same sources the ViewSonic will be displaying the ViewPad 7 at IFA in Germany starting this week.
